Two poems also online

My poems "Tokitae" and "I killed today" have been accepted to the online gallery for THE NATURE OF OUR TIMES: Poems on America's Lands, Waters, Wildlife, and Other Natural Wonders project! Note that "Tokitae" first appeared in Lit Shark Magazine's Issue 8: The SHARK WEEK Edition and "I killed today" first appeared in Lit Shark Magazine's The Best of 2024 Anthology

In December 2024, my poems "Mother" and "Leaves on the Tree" were also accepted and put onto the project's online gallery. Poets could submit up to 5 poems for consideration through January 15th, 2025, so I waited for "Tokitae" and "I killed today" were published in Lit Shark Magazine and received confirmation from the Editor-in-Chief of that journal that I could reprint my work elsewhere. You'll see in THE NATURE OF OUR TIMES gallery that I credit prior publications when they are reprints, of course.

All four of my poems are currently being considered for publication in the Fall 2025 anthology by Paloma Press, a companion to the First National Nature Assessment (NNA1) draft report being released at the same time. Anthology decisions should be made at or around the end of February 2025. Even if none of my poems are chosen for the print anthology, I believe in this project, the NNA1, and I am honored to have contributed to the online gallery.
