I am pleased to announce that a series of my haiku was awarded honorable mention by the Poetry Society of Virginia's 2025 Annual Adult Contest! I will not be posting the winning haiku onto my website at this time so they remain unpublished and thus available for journal submissions.

The winners of the 2025 Annual Adult Contest will be archived soon along with past contest winner announcements: https://poetrysocietyofvirginia.org/psv-contest-previous-winners/.
While only the 1st and 2nd contest prize winners will be published in the Poetry Society of Virginia's annual print anthology, it is a great pleasure to be recognized with an honorable mention by the contest editors. The editorial feedback I received describing my haiku means a lot to me and is something I'll make sure to remember. In a sea of form rejections, kind words from those who enjoy one's work can be such a buoy of light.
